The Barnet Homes Tri Team heroes – Paul Rose, Ryan Bolton and Phil Buck – raised an amazing £3,800 for the Friends of Broadfields who fundraise for CommunitySpace in Edgware. The Friends’ latest campaign is to fund, support and maintain the minibus which provides an essential lifeline for CommunitySpace service users.
Ryan and Phil (Paul was on holiday) visited CommunitySpace to present the cheque to staff and service users on one of the last blazingly hot days of summer. The service put on a party and buffet lunch to celebrate the amazingly generous sum of money raised by the Tri Team, and reciprocated by presenting the Team with beautiful engraved commemorative glass tankards. The party was much enjoyed by everyone, and Ryan and Phil took to the dance floor enthusiastically with service users!
Phil said: “We were thrilled to meet staff and service users, and were quite blown away by the reception we received. The gifts were totally unexpected and a really nice touch. We’re just so glad we were able to make a real difference to the lives of the service users at CommunitySpace.”
