What is a hate crime? A hate crime is a crime committed against someone because of their disability, gender identity, race, religion or belief or sexual orientation.
This past year has seen a ‘spike’ in the number of hate crimes all over the country.
The aim of National Hate Crime Awareness Week is not only to be a part in tackling such crimes, but helping people report incidents of hate crime.
#WeStandTogether alongside our partners Barnet Council Barnet Mencap Inclusion Barnet during National Hate Crime Awareness Week (15 – 19 October) to remind you that if you experience, or witness a hate crime, that there are places in Barnet where you can report it.
Monday 15th October
Edgware Bus Station 10am – 4pm Station Road, Edgware HA8 7AW, this includes Free Disability Hate Crime Workshops on a London Transport Bus: times 10:15 -11:50am.
