Over the last few weeks, staff and service users have been getting prepared for Flower Lane’s big Coronation party; this has included making crowns, Union Jacks, pictures and decorations.
Paul Whiting, Service Manager at Flower Lane Autism Service said, ‘We celebrated on the 3rd of May and myself and Vendora our cook, organised the food and she prepared the feast for the day, truly fit for the King! Everyone loved the food and everyone’s favourite part was having good old-fashioned jelly and ice cream and the Coronation cake! We all had an amazing time and now that the mask wearing rules have changed it was even better seeing everyone’s happy faces! A big thank you to all the staff at Flower Lane as it was a great team effort pulling the whole day together, they really went above and beyond to make great memories and it could not have been achieved without their support!’
We had such lovely feedback comments from the service users, family members, carers and other providers and also our lovely staff!
Mrs Kahan said, ‘They had an amazing time and it was lovely to see everyone having fun’
Mrs Patel said, ‘Thank you very much, I had a really good time’.
