Atholl House is a fantastic new Extra Care scheme, developed by Barnet Homes on behalf of Barnet Council. Atholl House provides tenants with the very best in independent living and the peace of mind that onsite care and support is available, day and night. The wheelchair-accessible scheme consists of 46 x 1-bed and 5 x 2-bed apartments of which most feature balconies. Each spacious apartment includes a fitted kitchen, lounge, and walk-in shower room. Admission criteria is based on individual housing needs, including that they are:
- no longer able to live safely in their own home,
- must be adult social care eligible,
- aged 55+ or with a disability with assessed needs
- suit a lifestyle living in the community of older people,
- must be a current Barnet resident.
Location
Atholl House is situated in the heart of Barnet offering modern housing with wheelchair access and dementia friendly facilities. Local shops, ATMs and restaurants are five-minutes walk away.
There are several GP surgeries close by and a hospital with A&E facilities less than 20 minutes by car. Burnt Oak underground train station is a 10-minute walk away, and there are regular trains to central London. There is a bus stop outside the building, with regular routes in and out of central London Dial-a-Ride and low-cost local taxis are available.

Atholl House staff
The 24hr care and support service is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and includes a Registered Service Manager to manage the care team. Housing Management is the responsibility of Barnet Homes who provide an in-post caretaker to carry out day-to-day housing support.
