June saw the appointment of Carol as the new Activities Coordinator at Your Choice Barnet’s Dell Field Court Care Home in Finchley. Carol has gotten to work planning and organising a whole host of events and activities for the summer months to engage, entertain and delight the residents.
Last week residents were thrilled to welcome visitors of the four legged kind! Pet therapy company, Performing Pets, brought along some adorably well behaved baby goats for everyone to handle. Carol said, “The goats were so placid because they’re used to being around people, their owners were very knowledgeable, and our residents were so happy to pet them and give them a cuddle.
Jayram Sauba, Registered Manager added, “I was happy to see so many of our residents getting involved in the pet therapy session. I hope to make this a regular event at Dell Field Court.”
Resident S (pictured below) said, “Holding the goat made me so emotional, bringing tears to my eyes as I used to have cats.”
