Your Choice Barnet have been working closely with Age UK Barnet this summer, attending a music festival and their annual Your Money, Your Way event. Your Choice Barnet to sponsor Silver Sunday 2025 in October.
Age UK Barnet summer music festival
Last month Age UK Barnet organised a music festival with fantastic live music, brilliant food, raffles, tombola and a selection of stalls. It was a great opportunity to bring the community together and the day itself saw people of different ages and generations. Your Choice Barnet were present and provided information about both dementia-friendly care homes Meadowside and Dell Field Court in Finchley. Both care homes are located near to Age UK Barnet’s who are based at the Ann Owens Centre in East Finchley, so it was a good opportunity to highlight what the care homes offer. A survey was conducted on a small sample to get their thoughts on residential care and identify any gaps in the market where Your Choice Barnet could improve and best serve the people of Barnet.
Your Money, Your Way event
Your Choice Barnet’s Family Liaison Manager Anne Duggan presented at the annual information event Your Money, Your Way. The event offers support to the elderly community covering topics such as: power of attorney; planning your will and funeral to name a few.
This was the second year in a row Your Choice Barnet were invited to this event. This year, Anne explained the process involved when applying for care and useful statistics. Anne signposted the many ways to view our care homes including using our virtual tours which can be found on the Your Choice Barnet website.

Silver Sunday 2025
Your Choice Barnet will be sponsoring Silver Sunday which takes place on Sunday 5 October 2025 at Middlesex University. Last year the event was attended by over 700 people, the attendance is expected to grow this year.
